YOUR FUTURE BEGINS HERE

Job Description

As a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT), you will help students develop the skills needed to participate fully in their educational experience. From fine motor development and handwriting to sensory integration and self-care, your work will empower students to overcome barriers and succeed academically, socially, and independently.

As a travel OT, you’ll take on short-term assignments in school districts across the country, bringing your expertise to communities that need immediate support. This is an exciting opportunity to grow professionally, adapt to new school environments, and make a lasting difference in the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement IEP Goals: Create individualized education program (IEP) goals and treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs.

  • Provide Direct and Consultative Services: Deliver therapy sessions individually, in small groups, or through classroom consultation to support student participation.

  • Support Inclusive Practices: Recommend classroom adaptations, tools, and assistive technology to help students engage in learning alongside their peers.

  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Partner with teachers, paraprofessionals, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and administrators to ensure coordinated support.

  • Engage Families and Educators: Communicate progress, strategies, and recommendations clearly to families and staff to reinforce skill development outside of therapy sessions.

  • Document Student Progress: Maintain accurate and timely records of evaluations, interventions, and progress toward IEP goals in compliance with district and state standards.
